MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Hey my name is Kaitlyn and I am 20 years old. I was diagnosed with lupus in December of 2006. It was originally thought to be due to a side effect of a medication I was on, but it has been a while and it has not cleared up which the doctor said it would if it was strictly because of the medicine.

I wanted to join this group just to meet people in the same situation as me. I know I don't have major symptoms; I mainly suffer from joint pain. I just wanted to see how other people deal with this on a daily basis and meet people similar to me.

Hi Kaitlyn and Krystle,

My name is Eva and I've had lupus for l5 years. What type of lupus does your aunt have Krystle? There are many types of lupus and different ways to treat it. I have pheripheral and central nervous system lupus. I can't be in the sun because I get the malar rash and I also can't be under artifical lights. I wear sunblock every day to protect myself. You can get all kinds of information regarding the different types of lupus on the internet. Its also important that she has a good rheumatolotist. Please keep in touch. You'll be in my prayers.

Eva
