MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

Angle,

Please read my post that starts out "I was 54 when I was diagnosed." My RA didn't like my choice and has continued to say that my good results are not credible, but I wouldn't trade what I'm doing now to go to drug therapy that he wanted me on.

Angel, I know it is hard and totally understand where you are coming from. How do you relief the stress when you have to live through it everyday? I don't know the answer to that. Just remember that it will get better, just keep pushing through. You have to have a storm to enjoy the sunshine. You are being tested by they universe. Fight your way through. I know it gets rough and feels like you are loosing but every day you fight you are one more step to winning. Just talk to yourself and tell yourself how strong you are. What is going on with you? hospital visits?

Hi, lupus can be hard on all of us. And each treatment will be different. You need to have a doc to that really listen to you. You can always find support here. Just remember. what works for one person may not work for another.

Maybe you need a second opinion. The chest pains may be from anxiety and easily addressed. And you sound depressed. Anyone with a chronic disease has the right to be depressed....another problem easily addressed. You mentioned chest pains. Do you have a good cardiologist? I think a key to successfully handling lupus is to put together a team of physicians who will communicate and work together to your benefit.

Come here anytime to vent.

Hi and welcome to this great support site and yes you will get a tremendous amount of support from people who really care and listen well.

Its very difficult to learn that we have a chronic illness and than to tell our family members.....that is hard so that is where we come in....anytime you need to vent, cry or just to share a doctors appointment or just how your day went we will listen and someone is always on this site.....be good to yourself..
