Welcome! The best advice I can give you is to first check with your rheumatologist. He should know well enough what to recommend for your specific condition when dealing with lupus. What I use is Neutragena (70 spf), there's no need to go any higher! I also have a rash and have used this product several times...it works very well for me! It also claims to protect the first six layers of your skin. $9.00 at Walmart! I have my daughters use it daily, as well as myself!
