Can anyone suggest a sunblock that will not irritate or burn my face. It seems as if the sunblocks I've tried make my butterfly rash worse. Help as summer is almost here!

What sunblocks have you tried so far? I use Ocean Potion Anti-Aging Sun Block SPF is 50. So far it hasn't irritated my skin. Also my doc prescribed me Clobetasol Propionate ointment. Its not a sunblock but it does take that butterfly away.

I use neutrogena ultra sheer dry-touch sunblock. Spf 70. It feels nice on my face and doesn't seem to make my face burn or rashy.

Welcome! The best advice I can give you is to first check with your rheumatologist. He should know well enough what to recommend for your specific condition when dealing with lupus. What I use is Neutragena

(70 spf), there's no need to go any higher! I also have a rash and have used this product several times...it works very well for me! It also claims to protect the first six layers of your skin. $9.00 at Walmart! I have my daughters use it daily, as well as myself! I hope this helps and if you find something better for lupus rashes, please let me know!!! Deena
