MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunnyfly)

Ok, as I was reading my profile I noticed all my spelling and grammar mistakes etc... like "do" istead of "due" LOl I swear my mind is gone . Do you feel like that, like you can't form a complete sentence when you are talking sometimes? It seems like it has gotten worse too! Just wondering if anyone else has this problem!?

Hi,

I get the brain fog all the time because I have central and peripheral nervous system lupus. I have also recently had two brain hemorraghes in the last 5 months. Along with this fog I get very confussed-forget how to spell (I used to be an outstanding speller) I get vertigo and crushing headaches oh, and I'm losing the hearing in my right ear because the bleeds have been on the right side near my ear-horn. So I know what you are talking about. Do you also have the headaches and humming in your head?

Eva

I never know if it is brain fog, my strokes or my age, but, sometimes I have a hard time getting things right in my head. It drives me CRAZY. I know I also do a lot of corrections to my posts.I just figure there are things I can't change, and try to just go with flow.

I used to have problems as a child my mom would tell me to do something and when I didn't do it I would get in trouble. I went into kind of a haze like I wasn't hearing her. After an EEG they told me I had Epilepsy, as I got older the test for some reason changed and when we lived in Toronto I was hmmmm about 15 the docs said they didn't think I ever had it.. In my early 20's when all this started for me with the Lupus I was having the "haze" problems again I would go to the kitchen and not know why I had gone in there with the full intention of going to do say the dishes. They ordered an EEG again and the doc I seen said I had "odd brainwaves" and that was why I was going through that... wonder if that could have all stemd back to the Lupus... Even when I was a child?

Thank you everyone for all of your information! Cads, I too have the "kitchen" experiences. As of late my memory is shot, I mean its to the point I can't remember if I had a conversation with someone that day or even day before. It's not like a rare occurance, which most people have....it's just bizzare! I can't think! My mind can't form complete thoughts either, which can be totally frustrating!!

I had a TIA in Oct'07, and I still have trouble with brain fog. I can do something, and the next time I try to do it, I can't remember how! I considered myself smart until the TIA happened. I wonder if it will ever get better.

I have brain fog also. Cant spell, lose my words also. My HubbyMan says he can tell just by the sound of my voice when I am not doing well. I lose words all the time, thankfully my kids will help me find them.It is really no biggy anymore, they are used to it. I dont like it because I feel stupid. I do not have the concentration I used to have. Cant read a book cuz I cant concentrate and lose my focus way to easily.

The same thing happen to me. I cant seem to concentrate anymore. I used to read all the time but now if I read sometimes I have to reread the same page 2 or 3 times. I also studder my words alot. Just the same as you Kasey my kids help me find my words also. It does make you feel kind of stupid at times. But its not their fault. I just say thanks and go on.
