Dear Brian,

I am doing fine, thank you. How’s your mom? Have you sought doctor’s advice? Have you done your research on others in the family? Any useful information? I am on medication and feeling much better. The rashes seem to have decreased, although the joint pains do exist. The medicines that I take help a lot. I am also doing light exercises that take my mind off the current problem. It is spring and I am feeling better.

When you express your concern to the doctor, do insist on a blood test, as this will solve the mystery soon. Moreover, blood tests will give you information about other lurking disorders too.

Ted

Hi Ted,

Saw the GP

A very Good morn to you. I got an appointment with the GP yesterday and I expressed my concerns. He has not waived it either. Mom has given a sample of her blood for testing too. The results should come in a week’s time. The GP has not ruled out menopause either. She has been prescribed calcium dozes and also light exercises. She keeps herself active in any case.

Regarding seeking information with others in my family, I shall get in touch with them online. Mother doesn’t seem to know of anyone experiencing anything unusual. Nevertheless, it won’t harm if others are well informed too. If it is in the genes, then we got to find ways of stopping it from affecting future generations. You take care.

Brian
