 Is hair loss inevitable. I'm on plaquenil also. My Dr. seems to be trying to convince me that folic acid will somehow help.

 Sad to say but hair loss is going to happen to most of us.....I used to have hair so thick that ponytail holders were hard to put on and then I started thinnning on top....Don't worry..I don't think you'll go completely bald.....people that didnt know me when my hair was think don't even notice it.....I've heard some people on this site lose large patches but i'm not sure how common that is....I try not to use harsh shampoos...Infact I use baby shampoo.

 I am bald right down the middle of my scalp. I always say it is a reverse mohawk. I will never get hair back in that place, That was my first symptom, the one that made me go to a doctor.So, I hate it, but, after so many years,I just deal with it. I think some of our meds also make hair fall out. If I had to pick between hair loss and being sicker, I take the hair loss.

 I lose hair quite a bit and i'm not sure if its medication or the lupus or both. I know i do havve hair bald in certain places. I use to have a lot of hair but now its thinner.
