MDJunction to me

fluffyluggage"I found MDJunction at a time when I was struggling with so much. I
was so sick. I found a home, a place where people understood me, when
even my family doubted me. In MDJ, I found a place of refuge, love,
and support. I come here daily, to find my balance, to cope, and to
find that same support I've found from day 1. MDJ is my new family.
The friends I've made here will remain with me for a lifetime.

I don't think it is suppose to hurt this badly to breathe

My back is in so much pain despite several medications that I have taken

It is going all the way up my back through my neck and I have a headache from hell.

It has been a few days since the accident...

Am I suppose to still hurt this badly?

I have a primary doctor appointment this Friday but it is only Wednesday

When does you body tell you it is time to get reevaluated?

I did go to the ER directly following the accident but the only thing they really checked was my collarbone which was messed up.

I know you are not doctors but what has told you that you needed to get to the ER?

Maybe I am just over thinking this and being ridiculous and just need to sleep.

I have taken as many medications as possible and it is not touching this pain.

Is the ER the next step or is the next step to wait until Friday's appointment for the Primary Doctor to tell me what to do?

On a pain scale from 1 to 10 right now I am at a 9.5 and I am not being dramatic.

Hey there, im sorry you are so miserable Sad

I was thinking that you would be in even more pain a few days after the accident and hoping for the best. The 2 times ive been hit i had a huge delayed reaction in back/neck pain and the immediate ER care was pointless for that. You know your body best, so if you feel you need to be seen again dont wait! Good luck!

Hugs,

You posted that you had the accident just yesterday, it hasn't been days. If your pain is that bad, you should go back in. They may have missed something, or something else may have triggered by the wreck.

For myself, I mean, it's Wednesday. That's two more days before I get seen, and I'm at a 9.5, I'm thinking, for me, I'm going in. I wouldn't be able to take that much pain for that long.

Sorry if I was wrong on the date, I was just going by when you posted that you just had an accident today, which was the 18th. Guess I was wrong. Either way, I hope you feel better now.

Actually you were right. I was confused. Sorry. Today is Wednesday. I had the accident Monday. I looked at my watch after midnight so it said Wednesday so I guess I was confused. Today is Wednesday. The accident was Monday around 1:00.

If it gets to the point you really can't stand the pain and nothing is working I would go back into the ER....like the others said they could have missed something. If you can wait then I would wait to see your primary on Friday. It just depends on how bad you feel.

You were bounced around and shaken up a great deal from the looks of your posted photo. I agree with Lena and others, a couple of days following an accident can be even more painful and spots you didn't know existed might show their hurtful heads.

Provided that you aren't having labored breathing, acute pain, bleeding from anywhere, perhaps you could call the Dr. and see what he has to say. Maybe this is par for the course, but if this is excruciating, let him know. Like what has been said, something may have been overlooked.

IDNK, you have been around this site longer than me and you know that we are not Dr.s and can't offer medical advice, ultimately, we all want what is best for you. Is the pain still a 9.5? Man, I hope not. If so, do something about it...

Please heal and feel better,

Lisa
