"Today was a battle of Lupus vs: Linda and I won. I went for my 6th fusion and my blood count is UP...Next week, I am going for the important test and another infusion. I KNOW the important test for Ferritin will be FABULOUS. When I started 8 weeks ago my Ferritin was 25 (normal is 150+) and after 3 treatments it went to 47...now, I know it will be 100 next time and then watch out, CA, here I come, ready or not. I won't let this darn disease control my life; I am in control. Everyone of you with Lupus fight this disease with all you have and you will win! It takes perserverance, persistance and being pis**d off (instead of feeling sorry for yourself). Those are my 3 P's. I don't usually swear but I will be darned if this disease will interfer with my future plans! I didn't work hard all my life to give in to Lupus when I have so much to do in my "rusty" years. Live, Love, Laugh and Fight!

I was diagnosed with Lupus 7 years ago. I have had no damage to my organs but suffer from diabiling fatigue, and pain. What exactly is this treatment you are getting for? I cannot take the main med for Lupus, antimalaria med, so I don't take anything. If you don't mind, I would like to know what it is your experiencing and what this infusion does for you. ThanksWink

IK.....I am so very proud of you....I took control of my Lupus in 2008 after my second aneurysm. I should have died after the first one but I lived and have been living every single day to the fullest even when I am sick......I refuse to let Lupus win. I AM IN CONTROL!!!!

This thread just made me smile, i am not diagnosed with lupus but see the rheummy for the 1st time on Tuesday for some kind of diagnosis i hope! I again ended up in hospital yesterday for unknown chest pain ?pleuritic or inflammation of sternum? they did't tell me but definitly not pericarditis again so when i came on here i needed to read good stuff as i feel im making this up, becoming a hyperchrondriac, or plain old nuts! Thank you all....

Before I moved away from Indiana and the ungodly humidity, I use to have chest pains also. Arthritis in my rib cage was what my dr told me. Sounds weird, but true. Now that I'm in Colorado and dryness, I have had no pain in my ribs. Hope this helpsShocked
