Back in early November I started having some breathing problems which I quickly deduced was bronchitis. I have always suffered with it every winter and sometimes other seasons throughout the year. However, this time it felt different. I was unable to do most meager task without becoming winded and absolutely zapped. After trying my regular regiment of Advair and Abuterol and it was not working, I posted a message on the forum and a few of you suggested that I should seek medical attention at once, and I did. Since then I have been through many test and still noone can tell me what happened. Yes, I feel much better than I did. When I posted on Dec. 4th, I just wanted someone, anyone to shoot me and put me out of my misery. At this point I have had full PFTs, EKGs, Ultrasounds, and a stress test because one doctor was sure it was my heart when I was sure it was my lungs still. I am blessed. There was not a clot found in my lungs and for that I am grateful. Finally, to my question. I am now seeing a lung specialist who thinks I have asthma but can't say for sure. Why not? Accordig to every test ran my lungs are working over capacity; they are blowing out at a flow of an athlete in training. Trust me. I am no athlete. I can barely walk down my school's hallway to the office. They now have me on hold for some test that I will likely need but has to be approved by the INSURANCE. Does anyone have any idea what this test is and what they are looking for? Any knowledge you have on the subject will be appreciate.
