Welcome to the group! Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I can't speak for everyone here of course but my advice is to find a great doctor (don't settle...it took me 5 years to find someone who would actually look me in the eye and treat me like a human). I am (along with my doctor's help) trying to stay off the "hard stuff" for as long as possible so I am trying to do things naturally like supplementing my diet with vitamins and herbs, eating as organically as possible and now I am doing some research into traditional Chinese medicine. Ask as many questions as you can think of...I never start taking a new medication without fully researching it...not only are the side effects that happen right away important to me but so are the ones that may pop up 5, 10, or 20 years down the line. I know I'm rambling a bit but I hope some of this may help. Again welcome to the group...feel free to email me or private message me if you need anything!

Kaitlan
