Hi I'm Tracey...

I've had lupus since I was 13....

I have joint pain/aches....quite a bit of fatigue...

A lot of the fatigue and aches have increased

exponentially since I had a child two years ago, I

think it is because I don't get as much rest.

I once read a book on lupus that said we are supposed

to treat *REST* as though it were one of our medications, like it's a prescription! Imagine that.

But, I think it's true...

In the past, one of my coping tools even though I'm young and was even younger then----in my twenties then----would be to literally place myself on bedrest and just miss class (in college or law school).

I would grab snacks/juices/books/remote.....places them all near the bedside and literally get total rest...and getting a day or two of that really, really helped.... and heat....Hot Baths always helps/helped to ease my joints.

So, I try to go to the jaccuzzi at my gym when I can...thankfully there is a nursery at my gym!

I also have sun sensitivity....it bothers me...I don't get a rash...but it just always feels as though it's burning...

I've also noticed that a year ago from now I had the worst pain ever and was even referred to chronic pain doctors....

Yet, I thought I saw the most improvement when I went organic!
