Are you suppose to take your methotrexate while you have a virus? I have cold and acute bronchitis. I get it yearly, actually several times a year. I've attempted to talk with my doctor's office all day, but they must be extremely busy.

I believe you can still take it. But, since you're questioning it- it'd be best to wait until you talk with someone at the doctor's office.

Hang in there, and get better soon.

Thats a good question. I know when I get a virus my rheumy told me not to take my cellcept. So could be a possibility but you really should talk to someone at the doctors office. I also have a cold with laryngitis which I too get about three times or more a year. I sure hope you feel better soon.

Thanks guys for your input. The doctor's office called about an hour before I was suppose to take my shot. I am to skip this dose. Evidently MTX can make you a lot sicker if you have a virus. Who needs that? I've already missed a week of work. My students are beside themselves.(They're a great bunch of kids.) The doc did say he might need to take something else for the pain this week. That makes me a little nervous, but I'm tough bird. I can handle it.

All my love and warmest wishes to my friends.

Thanks for your support.

Glad that you heard back from your doctor, and have his medical advice.

I DO hope you get to feeling better soon. Sounds like you've had it way too long already.

Hang in there, and get better soon. And we'll keep you in our thoughts.
