What was I thinking???

I just signed up to be my 11yo daughter's volleyball coach. I'm also an asst. coach on her softball team- my husband is the head coach.

I'm in California and it was 100* today. I went out there (it's an after school program thru the recreation dept) to give her water and got asked to coach. I had sunscreen on but no sun clothing, no hat, etc. Practice was 1.5 hrs and I came home and collasped. I woke up with a headache and a wicked rash all over. Lovely! Like I don't have enough to do????

I've never coached volleyball before but I have played. The other coach has never even played. Yikes!

What have I done?

I'm afraid you did lose your marbles!

You are such a trooper. I feel that anyone that volunteers to coach anything is crazy! I certainly couldn't do it- physically or mentally. So, pat yourself on the back for doing it.

Just try and take care of yourself. Maybe you can give the other coach some tips so that if you can't be there, he/she can step-up.

Hang in there and we'll be thinking about ya!

That's the thing... we're 2 separate teams now. So I'm on my own.

Today, I'm exhausted and keep falling asleep. Yesterday kicked my butt. All our games are indoors but practice is still outside... and I don't know if they'll have the air on in the gyms.

Hopefully it's a short season. LOL
