I don't feel well, and I'm exhausted. It's the same old story. I'm just wondering what you all do with your time when you're down and out. I don't work. There's just no way I could at this point. The prednisone gets my mind racing and my body figety, but even going grocery shopping is beyond me. I do the obvious reading books and watching movies. But I feel like my life is purposeless. I was just hoping to get some ideas from you guys.

Thanks and may God bless you all,

Elizabeth

Well, let's see. I need to find things to do too. I spend all day home alone- just me and my dog and cats. I play around on the internet all day, sometimes do some sewing, watch a lot of history shows on tv, and basically fill my time with whatever I'm up to doing that day. Some days all I seem to be able to do is sleep. I feel the same kind of way- like I'm just wasting away here. Life passing me by. But most days I feel so bad with all my health issues that I really can't do much at all. Other days I'm doing okay and will cook a meal or something. That always makes me feel better. My time ticks off as when to take pills and sit here hoping someone will come home or stop by. It was the worst when I had to give up driving.

Maybe everyone will have some great suggestions for us both! And you and I could start messaging each other and keep each other company via the internet too. Would love to have another friend! Like I said I'm online almost all day almost every day so it'd be fun to have someone to talk to during the day. Just a thought...

Hugs and friendship,

K

I have been feeling exhausted for quite a while too. But I am also overdoing it with working full time and doing my MBA. BUT! Even when I feel so tired, I find that doing something that triggers some passion helps soooo much! For exemple, today I've decided not to study for my final exam on Monday but rather go and "play" outside. I just LOVE gardening! So I but on long clothing and sunscreen lotion with SPF 30, a hat and so on... and even though I was very tired when I came in at 3:00 (it has been a GORGEOUS DAY so far), I felt SO GOOD and HAPPY!!!

I took up crocheting and kniting and when I make something for someone just seeing the look on their faces makes me think that I really am not wasting my life that I found something that I can do in my home and something that I enjoy very much. I do the cooking, shopping, and laundry when I can but if I can't than I whip out my yarn and start to crochet and it is very relaxing to me....it is very rewarding.

What do I do with my time..... I LOVE TO READ. I love to find that really good book, get my heating pad, my blanket and a good place to read. I love to loose myself in my books.

So many people recommend books to me. I look at different magazines to find new authors and so on.

I used to love to read, it is just to hard to follow the story line now. I am still messing around with jewelry, but I can only make so much before it seems silly because I am not selling many.

So, I watch TV and play computer games.

I do most of what the other girls are doing. I also hand paint furniture when I am feeling well. I love cooking and all things real estate. My husband has been encouraging me to go back to college for another degree in culinary arts or real estate. So I have applied and am thinking about going back in the fall if I have the energy. I think as long as I can do part of my courses online it won't be to bad. We will see what happens between now and then. Only time can tell. I am just trying to find enjoyment in anything I can.

Wow, a bunch of great ideas! I am home alone for 13 hours 7 days straight and then the next 7 my bf is off and we get his daughter for a few days and then the rest he is working on projects. Needless to say, I have a lot of time. I do the laundry and clean up the finished garage we are temporarily living in. I also clean the bathroom inside and keep the dishes done. I brush my dogs every day. Take my time showering and sometimes put makeup on even! I also surf the internet and read. I do enjoy watching TV and it sucks because I don't have it at my new place. No money to get it either. It makes the days when I'm feeling bad go by really slowly!

Take Care,

Amy
