MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

I am in a horrible flare. I was diagnosed last November. I was very ill until say late March early April. I started to feel some better. I got back to probably 50% of who I used to be. About the third week in June I went into another flare. The pain is terrible. Exhaustion too. I am unable to walk any distance, Maybe to the end of my drive and back. I have to use a cane. I cannot drive say to Walmart for a quick out because on what is considered a good day now I would be so exhausted by the end that it would be too dangerous for me to drive.I have to depend on HubbyMan to drive me anywhere.

I am so frustrated and angry. I got a taste of remission only to become so ill that even getting out of bed is a feat in and of itself.

Anyone lose abilities and/or independence?

Kasey- Sorry you're experiencing the losing of abilities and independence. I hear ya though! Youza!

I get extremely frustrated at times. I'm unable to make a trip to the grocery store by myself. I have to have a family member help put the groceries in the cart, onto the counter, back into the cart, into the car, then carry them into the house and put them away. (I'm exhausted just thinking about it.)

I also have Fibro in addition to the Lupus. So... there are many, many things I can't do on a daily basis.

Just wanted to tell ya. You're definitely not alone. Hang in there. Value the 'good' days. They can be far and few. And take care of yourself every day.

~gentle hugs~

Thank you, it is a real drag not being able to do much of anything for ourselves but thankfully we have family who help. And who knows.....we may just possibly start to feel better and better and regain some of what we lost.
