Teresa....I get very sick from the sun so I can't be out in it at all even with sunblock on......as the sun bounces off the streets and buildings and water so the only time I can go out is around 7:30 in the summer when the sun is just starting to go down at my house.....we have a building and the mountains that block the sun. I am very sensitive and even to lights but there are people on here that aren't. When I get sick from the sun I get the rash of course and than I get very tired and feel like I am going to be sick....so not worth it to be with friends out in the sun.......I'm used to it now.

For me, it seems to be a problem of heat, not direct sunlight. When the temp goes up into the 80's that is too hot for me. Luckily, we don't get very hot weather often here in Oregon. It just totally wears me out and I just can't function well.

I can sit out in the shade and feel just fine and even tolerate about 15mins of sun at a time. Indoor fluorescent lights are what is the worst for me! I feel nauseated instantly, then spike a fever along with exhaustion. This is why I shop online or spend only brief periods of time in places that have that lighting type. I don't want to mess around with it and feel worse though! I've learned from trial and error.

I have sensitivity to the sun and fluorescent lighting. A few years ago I can remember having a family picnic that was in August and heat was upper 90's. Following the picnic I went to a store with my brother and while standing in line I was feeling dizzy and nauseated. So I handed him my bank card and said I have to go. I barely made it outside before I started to vomit. He comes out clueless because I didnt have time to explain I just ran. It's funny now but not so funny then. I have issues with sun, heat, and lights. So combine them and you will see my lunch....lol

The sun mostly gives me sink issues -- my pink malar rash gets bigger and darker very quickly and my skin gets pink/splotchy (sort of like pink dots very close to gether, I used to think this was sun burn, but it goes away quickly one I'm in the shade). But the heat can get to me, especially if I'm feeling run down. Once while riding in the car with my husband, we were stuck in traffic outside of Washington DC, and I became so sick from the heat I was heaving/dizzy/etc. A little heat, when I'm feeling ok though is welcomed - my joints love it!

Long way of saying the same as everyone else...it's different for everyone! Hope it doesn't bother you too much and you can enjoy the summer.
