Hey, I've only been diagnosed a year and I'm having a hard time with school. I'm 24 and trying to get out of college. I'm only taking 2 classes and doing work study. When I get home I eat and go straight to sleep. This is not good. My doctor says it's going to get better. But for some strange reason I don't think so. Does anyone else have this problem?

Depression is a big part of lupus. Are you on anything for it? I fought the depression diagnosed for a long time. I was ALWAYS kinda emotional. But taking meds helped. Just a thought.

No, I'm not taking anything for depression. Never even thought about that. But I would hate to get on any other medicines. I'm tried of the ones I'm already taking. But I will talk to my doctor about it. Thank you for your help.

I understand. I hate taking my meds. I am up to 10 different ones a day. I think it was reading this quote that made me think depression. "My doctor says it's going to get better. But for some strange reason I don't think so." I knew most of my lupus friends were on some sort of antidepressant but I was convinced I didn't need it. Until I started taking one. It wasn't a huge improvement, just enough for me to notice it. I know college can be challenging. Been there, done that. I hope your day goes well.
