hi dazy65, not sure what you mean by leg spasms, but i have a problem with mine sometimes at night. like they don't want to be still and can't stand anything touching them. i have found that a warm bath helps make it stop so that i am able to sleep. ahhh, a bath would be wonderful but not for another 4 weeks, per docs orders. not only does lupus cause all these awful aches and pains but it must affect how a person heals as i am not doing very well in that department since the surgery. oh well, it could be worse! hope you have a great weekend! wendy

I'm an Advocate

I have been having a very hard time with my feet and especially my right achilles tendon. I saw the PT and she said it felt very inflammed and that my tendon was very tight. Today I could barely walk both of my legs hurt so bad....it was like the bones were hurting. I do have osteopenia so not sure if it is from that.....I also have scoliosis so maybe from that.....or of course it could just be the Lupus. It's one thing after another. I'm sorry it made you cry....I was crying today myself......were all in this together. Wishing you all well

Try tonic water for the spasms....8 oz at dinner and 8 oz before bed. It comes in diet if you don't want the extra calories.

Hi Dazy - I get terrible muscle spasms too - all over my body. I also have fibromyalgia so it is sometimes hard to tell what is acting up. But, I get regular massages which help and take baths with epsom salts and I also am on muscle relaxers which help with the spasms. I hope you find something that will bring you relief!

So is it fibro? Is every pain an automatic fibro pain? Sometimes I wonder if I have some horrible disease that a doctor won't bother looking at because I have fibro............and everything is attributed to fibro. It's late and I'm cranky.

I have those leg spasms too. I have fibro along with the Lupus. I think it happens when my fibro acts up. I can tell when I'm in a fibro flare vs a lupus flare.
