MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

I am 40 yrs old and although I have probably had Lupus for at least 8 years, I was only correctly diagnosed in May '07. I have been diagnosed as having a chronic scarring form of Discoid Lupus, but while I have neg ANA's, I have rapidly developed symptoms of SLE. I seldom use the internet, but have become very frustrated and am looking for help! I have been on steroids, cortisone, many RX's, and am currently taking 800mg of Plaquenil daily, and have recently been given Plavix, as I suffered a TIA on 10/19/07. Does anyone else have TIA's with Lupus? I am also having increased neck, shoulder, and back pain. I never feel good, only better sometimes than others. I am really not a whiny person, but sometimes it helps just to vent. I have a very supportive husband, but I hate to complain to him all the time. I also am noticing leg pain. The local doctor I go to suggests that I may be developing Vasculitis. By the way, no doctor in my hometown could diagnose me. I was diagnosed by the Mayo Clinic, but can't go there evertime I have a new symptom. It is a 17 hour drive one way. Is anyone else experiencing these things?

Thanks for listening...
