MDJunction to me

"I have been struggling with Fibromyalgia, Bipolar, Anxiety, Post traumatic Syndrome for quite some time and pretty much going it alone. I stumbled across MDJunction by accident. I stayed in the shadows and just watched for four days and then I joined, feeling relieved and excited to have found a safe place with alot of folks that I could relate to . It's proove to be medically and emotionally
helpful to me and now I can't go a day without coming in at least 4 or five times a day! I Love my family here.

Hey, I haven't said anything for a while because I have been super busy. I am actually a nanny over the summer, so the kids are keeping me busy and tired, which is what I have a question about.

As I continually decrease the amount of Prednisone I am taking I am becoming increasingly tired. It is kind of a problem because I have no energy to do anything and feel like I could go to sleep at pretty much any time of the day.

I was wondering if any one else suffered from chronic fatigue and if so how the deal with it on a day to day basis. It would be helpful if any one had any information to offer me because I am just so tired of being tired. Thanks!

Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn- I was hoping that someone with chronic fatigue would have an answer for you. But it appears that we're all at a loss.

I'm not taking prednisone, but am tired a lot. I'm able to nap when needed. Although, I try not to because I often (lots actually) can't sleep at night.

Can you nap when the children nap?

You take care of yourself and keep us updated on how you're doing.

I too get very tired and don't sleep well thru the night. I am currently taking 3 mgs of prednisone. I was on 60 and the rheumatologist is tappering me off but I've noticed that I'm starting to hurt quite abit with the fibro-nerve damage and the arthritis. So at night when I try to sleep my body isn't moving and it starts to hurt amd thats why I can't sleep. I try to take a nap but that doesn't always happen. I think Amy has a point try to nap when the children nap or rest if you can't sleep that might help. Take Care.

I am in the exact same situation as you are. i was on 60mg of prednisone and am currently on 30mg. I find it easier to sleep at night, but feel more lethargic all day. I also recently started taking plaquenil which is supposed to help with fatigue but takes a while to start working in your system. I am still trying to figure out the difference between being overly fatigued and just lethargic. I think figuring out how to pace yourself really helps also. I know I used to be very active and when i try to do things at the same pace I used to I pay for it. Good luck

i am sooo tired all the time and when i am the most tired i am not able to sleep due to joint pain, at night its the worst cause i am so tired but can't sleep i just toss and turn and make allot of trips to the bathroom, i am going to ask my doctor to check me for fibromyalga just to be safe. the best sleep i ever get is at like 11am man it feels great even though i can only sleep for about 2 hours without bad back pain. it's a wonderfull very well needed nap. my cat sleeps with me and that makes it even more relaxing cause he purrs allot.

i wish i wasn't fatigued so much, my job requires energy i am a custodial worker for the university of arkansas, and man do i struggle with just my normal work duties, my work understands my illness and works with me the best they can.

sighning off and wishing everyone at least 2 hours of great rest.
