hey joscelyn! I have panic attacks along with my lupus too...and i know exactly how difficult it can be. I know when doctors give you certain meds to help, it is scary to know they can be addicting and everything. But honestly, I don't know how I would function without the meds to help me out. I take Klonapin and Effexor. After so long of trying to just get through it on my own, I decided to give it a try. I would tell you to give the medicine a try. Monitor it carefully and closely. If it doesn't help or you feel like it's changing you rather than helping, talk to your doctor. Dosages can be adjusted and whatnot.
