Just curious how many others out there suffer from panic and anxiety attacks with their lupus and the wonderful brain fog. I tried to explain it to my hubby and basically to me I feel like someone inflated my head with helium somedays lol...anyone else out there like me? sometimes my panic attacks are so dang overwelming my whole day is ruined. I am on Plaquenil, zoloft and dr. gave me a benzo for panic attacks but i haven't tried it yet - i hate addicting meds lol...and like to get through the hard stuff my own way but this has been tough with 4 little ones to take care of too... thanks joscelyn

hey joscelyn!

I have panic attacks along with my lupus too...and i know exactly how difficult it can be. I know when doctors give you certain meds to help, it is scary to know they can be addicting and everything. But honestly, I don't know how I would function without the meds to help me out. I take Klonapin and Effexor. After so long of trying to just get through it on my own, I decided to give it a try. I would tell you to give the medicine a try. Monitor it carefully and closely. If it doesn't help or you feel like it's changing you rather than helping, talk to your doctor. Dosages can be adjusted and whatnot. No matter what you decide, good luck with everything, and let me know if you have any other questions!
