A LITTLE ABOUT THE GROUP LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES

It is my job to try and keep peace between members. Also, to watch for inappropriate activity. I basically am the moderator for the group. I monitor posts for content. Editing and deleting anything that we see as inappropriate.

I am here to support the group members, and make sure that the new members feel welcome.

Each and every post is sent to my email address, and I read those.

I also respond to each PM that I receive. Sometimes this is researching information for a member, or supporting them, or taking action on something that inappropriately happened.

Lastly, I 'try' to find the time to add posts. With currently being a group leader of 4 groups (one group has over 950 members), this is often a challenge.

PS- I don't get paid to do this! As a volunteer, I do this- because I care very much about everyone within the group. So, maybe give me a break once in awhile? I'd really appreciate it.

In the meantime- keep up the good work and just keep posting away!

kfloyd- You are taking my posts way to 'personal'. I am NOT saying that you are trying to sell anything. You made that clear to me in a previous post- when really, you "should have" sent it to me in a PM.

I would be sending this in a PM to you had you wanted to talk civilly by PM. But I guess you'd rather have everyone see/hear our discussion.

Maybe I shouldn't have deleted our previous posts. Then, just responded to the latest one you had on here. I was quite nice in deleting those and reposting the topic. I could have just gotten rid of them all. Besides if I really felt you were selling something- I would have (because I'm supposed to) had you banned from the site.

FYI- The Rules and Leadership Responsibilities were posted in several groups. Not just this one. They were posted for the benefit of new members, like yourself. So that you are aware of what he rules are. And some people are curious about what group leaders do.

I am sorry that you are taking perceiving things in a different way. I don't mean to, or intend to be mean to people.

I really am not as rude, inconsiderate, unthoughtful, or non-caring as you're making me out to be. And, if you really knew me- you would know that. I don't see how you can be here for just a couple of days and judge my character.

Between my mother and myself, I have lived a life-time full of Lupus. You may read my homepage to find out about me.

It's okay... we all get on edge from time to time. Actually, more now-a-days than ever before. Right?! I do totally understand that one!

I also understand wanting to be well. I'm so tired of being in so much pain. I've been in a bad flair for at least a month now. My pain level has been approx. 8.

We want to be the person we used to be.

I just want you to have an enjoyable experience with our group, that's all. There are so many good people in the group, with wonderful information and support.

If you have any questions about anything- like how to monevour (sp?) throughout the site, or anything- please let me know.

And I'm here for ya. Not just as a leader, but as a friend. So feel free to message me at any time. All you have to do is click my pic (at this time, it's that big semi grill ) then scroll down a little ways and it says something like "Send fibroforever a private message". Then, just type the message and click send.

Again, I'm here for ya. ~gentle hugs~

Amy
