With almost 200 members in the Lupus Group- I felt it was time to post some rules before there are any real issues.

Please note though- You all are doing a GREAT job in your postings! I just feel that it's time we should have some boundaries out, because the group is gonna get larger.

LUPUS GROUP RULES:

1) Absolutely no arguing! We may make suggestions, tell our stories, and voice our opinions. But no one is to be attacking another person. Your opinion, is your opinion.

We MUST be considerate to other peoples feelings though! Therefore, please, please, "THINK" before you type something. What you may not find offensive, might very well be to someone else.

And although it's easy for someone to say, "Well, if you don't like what's posted, then just overlook it." Let's face it…. It's really not that easy.

2) We will NOT discuss religion. If you really need to share this information, please do so by using Yahoo Messenger. Most of us in this group use it. Or, if you are sure that it's okay with the other person, you may discuss the topic in a PM to them.

It IS okay to say 'God Bless You' at the end of your posts. It is okay to ask for people to pray for you. We're not saying that God isn't welcomed here. You all know the difference between just being a religious person vs. slamming it into someone.

3) No discussion of politics.

(It's a no-brainer that discussing religion and politics- well, those are two subjects that can create fights and cause disagreements.)

4) There is to be NO selling of products on the forum. That means absolutely NO personal advertising. There is a big difference between you having tried something and just sharing your story vs. you taking advantage of the situation and pushing to sell the product. This mostly applies to vitamins/supplements. If you are wanting to share your talent of making pins, bracelets, or just wanting to get the word out there about Fibro with magnets or something. That is quite different as well. So, if you have any questions about a product, you need to contact a group leader.

5) We really need to stay on topic. If you find that someone is off topic- you can help me as a leader with that, by simply making another post that's about the topic. That usually takes care of getting us back on track.

Basically, I, as a leader am just asking that you be here for the right reasons. We should all be here to share our experiences, ask questions, care, and just support one another.

Thanks for your help and support. If you have any questions- feel free to send me a PM.
