[b][i] Now that the days of Summer have come to a halt,I went out tonight with the moon nearly full, and milky ways decorating the sky. But from May till the middle of this month, I was living day to day, night to night in my air conditioned home. I for the first time in 14 years ,since finally finding out that it wasn't my "nerves, depression or boredom" and had what I was certain was "Lupus. Suddenly I have gotten to the point where NOTHING under 65' will my body tolderate outdoors. It is and was awful and unbearable. I ended up in a loulou of a flare, the one desperate time I risked going outside. It was like,"I will be fine."WRONG! (I can only take 4 medications for all that ails me, because to date,I am allergic to 35. Including neosporin,I applied to a cut and ended up having my breathing almost stop.)So my question,"Is anyone else suffering from heat induced misery? I don't mean the sweating I do 24/7 all year long, that isn't from Menopause, honest. Is it my Lupus,Fibro,MS or the other whatever's I also have? My Dr's are stumped as well. thank you.

I have been diagnoses with lupus for 19 years, and I have been 'hot' for all of them. I can not stand any temp above 70 degrees with out having my body over react by sweating, skin feeling burned and feeling week. It just goes with the 'terror'tory, I suppose. I'm so sorry for your frustration.
With peace and Hope,

Beth

I suffer from Photosensitivity so I totally understand you. It is a relieved to find out that other people have the same problem with heat, I thought I was an ALIEN!

I too suffer from photsensitivity. I remember a time when I used to thrive in the sun, and now all I do is hide from it. Every year I go to Florida to enjoy the beautiful gulf. I cannot handle being in the sun, so my favorite place to go when I have something to think about or if I am stressed and need a break has been taken away from me. Now my choice is, do I go and enjoy and suffer the price, or just never go again? If I get to hot, even if I am out of the sun, I get sick to my stomach, run a fever, get dizzy, and so on. It is nice to know I am not the only one who suffers from this. I wish you all the best. Eliza - you are far from an alien!

Hugs to all.

Stacy

I am the same way. Although I am really fair skinned so I have always had to stay out of the sun for extended periods of time...it is still hard to have restrictions on the things you can do. I feel like a freak when I'm the only person in the summer wearing long sleeves and long pants (especially when I lived in Florida...where I just moved to Colorado from). But like everything else I have tried to adapt. One of my favorite things to do is garden which is pretty much out of the question so I have taken up moonlight gardening. When the moon comes out my gardening gloves come on...it is actually very calming and I find that I can get more done because I'm not hot. Now of course my garden has to be tended by others when I'm not having good days but its nice to have one thing the disease hasn't been able to completly eliminate. The only problem is I worry that my neighbors are going to call the cops one day since I tend to bury things at night *giggles* but I have explained it to most of them just in case. Happy days to you all!!

Kaitlan
