This disease is so frustrating. It seems that the medical society is totally dismissing it. My brother is severely disfigured by it and we fear that it will soon inhibit organ function. Friends and family are in panic mode since seeing him at Christmas - no one feels he will live another year. (He has kids.) We don't know where to turn. He has seen doctors, he has had a biopsy and a couple of catscans, he had some of the early stage growth removed and it didn't stop it. Everyone's reaction has been "no worry, it won't kill you." However, he is miserable, he is in pain, he looks like Elephant Man, he has limited mobility, and is impotent (he has a wife). How can the medical society be so unconcerned? I suppose it is not getting anyone's attention since usually the Lipoma is not nearly so aggressive and is just a minor inconvenience and not so dibilitating. Does anyone else out there have as severe a case?
