Hi, My name is Ingrid I am 27 and have had lipoma’s appearing for the last 5 years. I removed one and then they started multiplying from then.

I would say I have about 20 by my breasts and in my armpits. I can feel about 10 on my back and about 4 on each hip. They rang from 3cm to about 16cm. I hate them they make it so uncomfortable to sleep as I keep turning from side to side which pushes them on my hips. I would say I am overweight as you can see them as they stick out. I cant wear swimming costumes as you can see the lumps all over my body and it looks really ugly.

Has anyone been able to reduce the size of the lumps?

Yes, I have been able to shrink the size of them. I would not recommend what I'm doing but I am injecting them with Lipostabil. I've done a lot of reading about injections and looked into having them done professionally. The cost for having them done by a "professional" was outrageous for something that seemed so simple. I did my research and after the first round (takes about 5) some of my bigger ones have shrunk by over 50%. I have about 70 lipomas ranging in size from a pea to a golf ball. I just did my second round tonight which wasn't too bad. I did about 25 on thighs and arms. This condition has really taken a toll on my life. I am a very active person who loves outdoor sports. However, my lipomas have me wanting to cover up. Best of luck.

Hi,

i was advised by Dr Herbst that if I get the manual lymphatic drainage and the wrapping that goes after it, this may reduce the size of my lipoma. however, i was not able to get safe transportation to the treatment.

she'd also said I could have it out, but that if i did I would need to wear the wraps and special garments after.

I only have one but it doesn't feel very small. reminds me of a silly putty egg in size and shape

it's on my torso. it often hurts. interferes with comfortable sleeping (in my case it simply got in line with the injured knee. injured rib cage and back issues on that score). it alters my clothing choices.

i'm 47 but can often be found wearing britches low on the hips like a teen because my lipoma hurts less that way.

Since I can't handle the diet and MLD recommendations made for me without assistance, I came up with an alternate plan to try.

i'd heard that the compression in a warm water pool can help with lipedema, so I decided to combine the compression of a speedo bodyskin with the water therapy and see how that goes. there is a pool I can more safely access (not really safe transportation, but safer), and I found a bodyskin on sale which is scheduled to arrive before my birthday.

my lipoma is very temperature sensitive I have discovered in these past 8mos with it. The aquatics place has pools with 3 diff temps that i can try out. i've still got some details to work out with my plan. but I'll try to post as any developments occur.

hugs
