MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

I was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia 3 year ago I have gone through bone marrow transplants and stem cell transplants and also chemotherapy. I was in remission last year, and I went back for one of my checkups about 6 months ago and I got the bad news that I was not in remission anymore. So I have started all over with the treatments. I am scare that I am going to die Im 21 years old and I have a 5 year old daughter. I dont want to miss out on my baby growing up. I already miss out on alot because Im in and out of the hospital. And Taking chemotherapy has made me so sick also.

Wow. That is a lot for someone to go through. I am 21 also. I joined this site when my cousin was diagonised with AML, she was 15 when she was diagonised.

I know that you must be very scared, but you should trust that your doctors know what they are doing and that they are doing everything they can for you.

Your child will give your strength and will motivate you and help you fight this!!! I am sure like any mother you are thinking more about her than yourself.

With your determination, maddi, I'm sure your daughter will see a heck of a lot of you.
