MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Hi everyone.

I've joined this group because my aunt had leukaemia a while ago (I cannot remember for the life of me which one it is, but I do know it is one of the rarer ones). She passed away about a year and bit ago. My father was her cure, and without being told was the first in a new experimental treatment, in which the doctors harvested the white cells they made the body grow at a rapid pace. He's okay, but no one is sure if his age or this treatment is causing his ill health at the moment.

Although I'm not too worried about my dad at the moment (strong in the mind makes him stronger in the body), I am worried about me and my family. Lately I've been having strange bruises appear on my legs, which gradually form over the course of a week, then fade over the next. Bruises for me normally appear within the day, then fade within the next two or three.

My partner believes that they are the result of 'rough play' (tee-hee), so it's a relief to know that they hadn't mysteriously appeared. What's different is the time it takes for them to appear and fade - a lot longer than usual.

I remember reading somewhere about bruises being an indicator, but I really hope I am misinformed.
