Hi Suzzie63,
First of all, I sincerely appreciate your support. As you stated the doctors do not have CML and every single case is different. My husband happens to have severe fatigue, nausea, and overall aches and pains. He was taken off Gleevac because after being on it for a while, the doctors said he was doing better so he decided to go back to work. My husband's line of work is extremely stressful. Within 2 months of being back to work his white blood cell count started to go back up and h...

For some reason I have got some responses to my post via my cell phone but when I go on my computer... I have no responses. I'm not sure how this discussion group works or when someone responds to something I write. I would love some advice on what to do and when I know if someone has replied to something I wrote.:) I'm not computer savvy at all!! Anyway, I read a response to my post by a few of you and I appreciate all the support I can get!! Thank you! One of you asked why he was taken off Gle...

Hi: Sounds like you have a lot going on, but you can drive yourself nuts trying to diagnose yourself. I have Leukemia (CML). There are all different types. I went for a routine blood test back in 1998, and my numbers were high regarding my White Count mostly. The doctor did not try to guess anything. I immediately had a bone marrow biopsy to see if anything showed up, and thats how they found my Leukemia.
Blood counts can go up and down on a daily basis, and it could be so many things ...

Hi Tim: I really do not know what could be going on,but seeing a Hematologist is the way to go right now. I would see a Hematologist/Oncologist so that the marrow is checked out to see why this is going on. They might end up refering you to another doctor, but start with that first. Post your results after you see this doctor. I will pray all goes well....

Hi Sabrinamarie and welcome. I'm so glad you found us here. You can expect a flood of information so I suggest you take someone else with you because you will be overwhelmed with info. I would assume you will also have a bone marrow biopsy to study exactly what your blood cells are doing.
Try not to be too scared. There are many treatments out there now that can put you in remission and in time you can live a normal life. They may talk to you about a bone marrow transplant and or chemo. ...

Hi fuckcancer....love your name!! I'm not really knowledgable about AML but I am here to support you. My husband has CML and is in remission. I know AML is much harder to control but it can be done. The hospital is the best place for your mom right now. I'm not sure why her wbc's aren't coming back up but hopefully the doctors will be able to fix that. Will she be having a bone marrow transplant? My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Hi Ebc: We do not mean to scare or upset you, but Nancy has had a lot of experience in the medical field, and I worked in the medical field for specialists before I had to stop working due to my Leukemia.

AML and ApML are well treatable in Ayurveda. Probably this is the only remedy that cures leukemia with out side effects. Myeloblasts come down to 0% level within 2 weeks of medication and marma addressing, working much faster than what chemo does. (chemo is hell, so much side effects.) Marrow gets revived and the blood counts become normal. The speed of recovery among children is amazing. Chance of relapse is very seldom. I am glad to extend support to patients, especially children suffering fro...

Thx Suzzie...I think hema doc will do it. He is part of a large regional oncology practice and will prob do the bloodlabs if I see him before December. I think he's good (young) but if I do have some kind of leuk may see someone else, Idk. Yes, I'm skipping the vegan diet...actually kinda happy about that lol. I agree: let the doc do the testing/investigating and follow-up on what he finds (or doesn't find)! Thx again..happy Sunday to you! :)...

Suzzie is right on. Also, and this can be hard, try to get some perspective. You are going through an intensely difficult time of your life. That being said it doesn't mean you stop living. Listen to your body. If it's telling you to rest by all means rest/ But if you think you can get outside and push yourself to go just a little farther than you thought you could- chalk that up as a win.
also remember as hard as it is for you, your friends and family are hurting also. They may not know ...

Hi Suzzie and sorry for posting so late...btw: Happy New Year!:y32b4: I'm currently not being treated for anything...saw Dr. R. (hemat doc) for low wbc initially and he dx iron-deficient-anemia. Long story short: I have the worst case of gastritis one can have and am waiting for GI to determine a surveillance schedule. I have one last visit with Dr. R. next June before he releases me (if blood labs are normal). Questions?
Holler back... and I'll respond sooner! :-D...
