Hello, I'm so glad to hear there are others out there. LOL. Sometimes you can feel so alienated. My fience is highly allergic to dairy products (his throat will swell shut)I have to read everything I buy - even some gums and salami have milk in it. I also can't buy anything that was manufactured in or on equipment that makes milk or dairy products. This also includes anything with whey. And when he does get something with dairy in it lets just say it's not pritty he makes this horendous hacking noise, luckly he can tell just of a small taste if there is dairy in it or not so he stops eating it. God forbid if he was not able to. But the hardest thing we have to deal with aside from people thinking it's the same thing as lactose intolerance, is going some where and hopeing they have something he can eat. So I started bringing a dish with me when we go places. The worst part for him is he loves cheese (the veggie-slices have some sort of dairy product in them)- thank god for the person who invented silk and toufuti - he can't wait till they come out with a all soy cheese.
