Taking pain meds before TKR

I am on the surgical schedule for a LTKR, but do not have a date yet. Was wondering if anyone was taking narcotic pain meds before their knee replacements?

Wondering if you had issues with controlling your pain after the surgery? I have heard that its harder for us who use pain meds prior as it we will feel more pain than the regular guy.

I suffer with chronic pain and use Percoset now on a daily basis for my pain. Thanks for your thoughts!
