MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

Hi if you have had a tkr you can apply for SSD, its on the list of eligibility. Look at Musculoskeletal at 1.3

http://www.lawfirms.com/resources/disability/filing-for- disability/eligibility-injury-process.htm

You dont have to be out of work a year to file.... the reason i know is my husband has a disease that is on the list also and was only out of work 1 month before applying. We had all the documentation he needed from the doctors and dermatoligists from Cleveland Clinic and the VA. We just had to wait the normal 6 month waiting period for them to process it.

That link gives you good information of what you will need to apply for Disability. Gather it all up before you apply online or go to your local SS office.
