I have just become a member of this awesome support group. I am 31yrs old. I was diagnosed with Kyphosis (curvature of the spine) about 6 months ago. My fmaily doctor put me through physical therapy for 6 weeks, and placed me on pain killers. Recently I asked her about seeing a Chiropractor. She refused. So...I went anyway. On my first visit, he looked at the x-rays in shock! He had NEVER seen anything like it before. Anyways to make a long story short, After extensive research of my x-rays, it was determined that I have Klippel-Feil Syndrome. On top of that I have several other associated disorders. Platybasia (Basilar Invagination), Kyphosis, Congenital Fusion (C1-C2 fused) and (C5-6-7) are all fused. I also have Sprengles Disease. So...I am in a lot of pain all the time.

I have been so distraught...I am not sure what more to expect from this. And WHY did everyone fail to see this at an earlier age???

My question is: What more can I expect as I Age?

Sincerely,

Michigan Momma with KFS
