I have Klippel Feil(KFS) and I am 30 years old. With KFS depending on severity and what genetic side effects come with it will determine the outcome. I have a short neck, mirror movements, slight scoliosis, cleft palate (fixed) and Clubbed foot (fixed). I had speech as a child. I am now a teacher and have a family.

KFS can be hereditary, but both parents have to carry the defective gene.

The people that I have talked to that have KFS, it ranges so there is no concrete information about how your child will turn out. There is not Dr. out there that we all have seen that knows much ab out KFS. Most people that have KFS can hold jobs and or a career. Depending on what gets fixed, your child will never be able to correct the short neck. if you have questions please ask.

Mike.
