Sometimes I feel mad, really angry that cancer has caused this pit stop in my life.

I have been going through this for about a month and I could fill a page with all the changes that have taken place.

Is this normal? Did you feel this way when you were diagnosised?

Actually I think that I might be having anxiety about surgery that is in three days and it's just coming out in anger?

Either way I want my life back! I want the surgery to be over and I want it to go well.

The hard part is there is no guarentee of anything, only prayers, lots of prayers.

Please let me know how you all dealt with the pyschological aspect diagnosis and surgery?

Jamie

I wasnt angry at all. I was more scared then anything else. Did they say anything about taking a rhib for pathology? they took mine to make sure the cancer didnt spread to my bones. I was ok after my surgery!!

Did they tell you what stage you were in? I think my doc said something like that I was stage 3 or 4. I had my cancer for 4 to 5 years before the caught it on the CT scan. And well im still kicking! Kidney cancer is slow moving, so the experts say.. Dont get all spun up! Take it all one day at a time. You might wanna think about seeing some one. I know priests have helped me better then head doc's. You dont have to see a priest, you can a minister or what ever you prefer. Therapists I dont think help all that much. They just sit there and listen and dont give any ideas, or feed back.

Dont be angry, Just worry about kickin cacner in the butt and getting better. Just keep your head up and your mind on the positive and you will make it!

Brian
