My name is Pamela. My son is 22, almost 23 and was just finally diagnosed after having temp blind spells that would last from 15 minutes to 2-3 hours for the last 8 years. The Dr said it was genetic, and from what we have found it is through my ex (his bio dad) side of the family. As a Mother of a child with it I know how devastating it was when he told me what they found. I can only imagine how devastated he is, with his whole life in front of him. I was told to check into the Mayo Clinic and see if they have any information on it. I will post on here and let you know if I find anything. My husband and I were in a bad auto accident last year and I am now disabled, we were all devastated to hear that, and now this. To me, my son is so much more important that all my syndromes and conditions I now have. I will definately post when I have some info. Prayers to those with it, and to the parents as well. |
