New to this keratoconus group. I am 31 and was diagnosed in my mid teens. Have had a corneal transplant on the right eye, which rejected and waiting to redo the surgery. Able to pull full vision from my left eye with the use of GPL. Somedays vision is better than others but getting by for now.

Hi Countrygirl.

My name is Pamela. My son is 22, almost 23 and was just finally diagnosed after having temp blind spells that would last from 15 minutes to 2-3 hours for the last 8 years. The Dr said it was genetic, and from what we have found it is through my ex (his bio dad) side of the family. I can understand how you feel. I can't say I know, as I don't have it, but I know as a Mother of a child with it how devastating it was when he told me what they found. I was told to check into the Mayo Clinic and see if they have any information on it. I will post on here and let you know if I find anything. I will keep you in my prayers.

Pamela {please}

I wish tons of love and hugs!
