Hi, everyone

My name is Jennifer Johnson. I'm 29 years old, and was diagnosed with keratoconus when I was eight or nine. I've had two corneal transplant procedures, and both have failed. My corneal specialist has given up on trying to replace it. He told me that the more he tries to replace it, the higher the risk of rejection. He also said he wasn't going to do anything to the left eye because he didn't want to risk lsoing the vision I have in that eye. I'm so scared.....I don't want to be blind, and my sight is slowly but surely deteriorating. I guess I'm just here for support from people who may have enocuntered the same situation. God bless.

-Jennifer

Hi Jennifer

My name is Pamela. My son is 22, almost 23 and was just finally diagnosed after having temp blind spells that would last from 15 minutes to 2-3 hours for the last 8 years. The Dr said it was genetic, and from what we have found it is through my ex (his bio dad) side of the family. I can understand how you feel. I can't say I know, as I don't have it, but I know as a Mother of a child with it how devastating it was when he told me what they found. I was told to check into the Mayo Clinic and see if they have any information on it. I will post on here and let you know if I find anything. I will keep you in my prayers.

Pamela {please}

I wish tons of love and hugs!
