Yes, there is a connection, in that Fibromyalgia can cause IBS. It's just one of the many "associated diseases" that Fibro can start. I know for a fact that my IBS was brought on by my Fibro. Up until then, I was so regular, you could set your watch ny me. Eight o'clock every morning, I had a normal and complete bowel movement. I don't believe you need to worry about IBS causing Fibro, since I have never heard of any cases like that. Fibro has an unknown cause, but one of the theories is that it is caused by severe mental or physical trauma. I had both, so I believe that was the reason for my start with Fibro. |
