Hey guys-

So, I don't have IBS but I have lymphocytic colitis- a type of microscopic colitis that's very painful and irritating but has no cure nor really any treatment specifically for it. That's the hard part, to know you are in pain and for the disease to be so "unimportant" to doctors because it doesn't kill. I am 21 and while I have tons of friends going out and buying super cute panties and everything, I can't because I would be spending tons of money for them to be ruined (if you guys know what I mean). All I read online is how it's a disease that affects 55 yr olds and older when I have had this disease since I was old enough to eat solid food (around 1 yr old). Every person I have come in contact with that has this disease has been the same- they weren't old, rather young actually...my friends sometimes think it's funny that I always have to go to the bathroom and what not but it's actually quite painful- both physically and emotionally as none of my other friends have this issue nor does anyone in my immediate family (the extended family, I don't know)
