MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

Leslie, my prayers and thoughts are always with you sweetness. I am so sorry for the tremendous loss you are experiencing. Wish I could give you a tight hug right now and tell you everything will be ok and that you are never alone in all of this.

I will keep you in my prayers honey. Sending many hugs and kisses your way.

Elizabeth

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

I am just like you and I am on MDJ for support and true friendship. Please, always consult with your doctor about medical advice and medication, never take one's opinion regarding your most precious asset which is your life.

~Elizabeth~ :)

Thank you so much everyone and Hat for starting this thread. Between my financial struggles (haven't been able to work for over two years because of bipolar/depression), my difficulty getting any government assistance, and continuous "nastygrams" from bill collectors, this news hit me like a million bricks. To find out your ex-husband is deceased and you weren't aware for 4 months later is bad enough. But when I heard he took his own life I practically fell apart. The thing that has been comforting me is that he is no longer suffering (he was VERY depressed) and is now in a better place. I myself, suffer from bipolar and depression, which in turn makes me a chronic insomniac. Mark (ex husband) refused to get any help for his depression (no meds, etc) so I think he just reached the point he couldn't handle things anymore. Apparently MANY suicides are caused by "untreated depression". I found a support group for suicide survivors in my area which is another thing I'm grateful for.

May God Bless you All!

Leslie
