At the age of 21 I had 6 Dermoid tumors removed from my left ovary. With a nasty scar going across my lower abdomen, life went on. Moved to NJ from NYC to start a family life with my wonderful husband. Same year 2 cysts were found in both my tubes. Had to be removed. Resulting in never again natural pregnancy.(IVF as the only other solution) 3rd day after surgery almost lost my life due to a blood clot, 6 hour blood transfusion followed, then another surgery. 2 years later (now) I am trying my best to beat an addiction to sleeping pills, as well as depression and just trying to live life. This is the first time I ever joined an online community for health issues. After reading some other stories on here, I'm very hopeful that things will get better. Anyone out there with a similar story who needs a friend, I'm here to listen and share my story with you. There is always hope no matter what happens. You're not alone.

I am 33 and have had chronic clinical depression diagnosed at 18 (although I think I suffered from it many years before that). It sounds like you have been to Hell and back and you are only 21. My infertility and nerve damage and chronic pain did not happen until I was 27. I can understand the sleeping pills. WIth my depression and dealing with life and facing infertility I went through a very similar thing. I have been through IUIs and IVF and am planning to do it again next month. I may have been through everything you are going through, but I think we have a lot in common. If you need anything -- support, a friend, or just someone to talk to -- I am here. It is always nice, at least in my world, to have someone to talk to who understands. Don't get me wrong -- friends are great, and can empathise to a point, therapists can help -- but only so much. I agree -- there is always hope and I believe life is a journey with a bright light at the end of the tunnel, it is just a matter of making it through all of the twists and turns, ups and downs, and through all of the treacherous and seemingly neverending challenges before you can get there. But, i believe the challenge is what makes us appreciate it that much more when we get there. I hope I can help.

Kelly
