Hello group, I'm new to the group, and also new to the realization of infertility.

My story is this, I'm 31, and have been off the pill almost 1 year. It took about 2 months for me to get my first cycle after being off the pill (was on it about 9 years).

Before the pill, I was always regular, never any issues except bad craps at times (hence the start of going on the pill).

For about 5 months I was again back to regularly getting my period post-pill, like I was pre-pill...until June, which is the last time I had one.

I called my Dr and he said it could have been from stress and lack of sleep (I was hosting my inlaws for a month while they were in town for a wedding). So I agreed with my Dr that the extra stress and sleeplessness was most likey the cause.

But I'm not goign on 3 months of no period. So my Dr. put my on Provera for 10 day to try and induce my period. I have 2 more days to take it, then have to wait about 5-10 for my cycle to start (according to my dr.)

So my question is...anyone else have this problem or have been on provera? I am hoping it will jump start my system to be regular again, so that I can start ovulation and get pregnant.

Thanks for listening!

Hey I just finished a round of Provera. I was on a 7 day dosage & got my period 9 days after finishing that round. I have been on & off of Provera since November. I was on it for several months & then begin to have a regular period on my own for a few months up until this month. Good luck!

Hi there! I'm new here too. I had/have the same problem that you did. I was on the pill for about 4 years and once I stoped taking it my periods came regular for about 6 months and then it stopped. I thought I was pregnant sice we were trying but all of the tests said otherwise. I tried Provera for the first time around June and it worked, I had my period about 5 days after provera ended. Then I was regular for a couple of months and now I'm not again. So I'm back to provera, yesterday was my last pill, I'll be waiting for my period to come soon.

Good luck to you.

PS: This second time around with provera was VERY different than the first one. The first time I had to side effects at all but this time was not fun. I had nausea, I was tired all the time, my vision was blurry and I had back pain.........it was not fun at all.
