I had my TAH/BSO and started HRT Oct3,2003 and it is when I started my life back!!! I was 33 and everyone told me I was too young, but let me tell ya...I was TOO YOUNG TO FEEL SO OLD AND TIRED AND HURT ALL THE TIME!!! I had suffered w/ years of endometreosis and PCOS and adhesions and off-balanced hormones. Since the hyst, I have never felt so good! I was bleeding either ALL the time or NONE....We went through years of infertility and were blessed with our children. Our oldest is 11 and our twins are 9 this week! Worth every bit of the heartache we went through trying! I take Premarin 0.125mg everyday. I started on the 1.25mg and cut dose down about 2 yrs ago. Planning to cut again and then go to the bio-identicals...if I can. I have done exceptionally well on HRT. I know there is alot of controversy over them...but I know there's even more controversy at my house without them!!!! And there aren't enough Kleenex in the world if I don't get my HRT!!!

I'm here to offer support to anyone going through a hysterectomy! The recovery can take a while and you just need to give your body time to heal!!!!

I had a hematoma that complicated my recovery, so I understand that sometimes there are problems....but even in the midst of those problems, I still knew I felt better!

I also realize there are some hyst/sisters who are not happy to have their surgery and some haven't been blessed w/children and I'm sorry for you! I know it makes the process even more difficult!

I'm here for anyone effected by hysterectomy, so be sure and PM me if you have any concerns/questions!!!

I'm also a Women's Services nurse.....though my advise here is strictly personal opinion and not to replace medical advise!!!!!!

Best of luck to fellow sisters going through these decisions and my prayer for you is that you can have an uneventful surgery and recovery!!!!
