My name is maryanne and I am 41 years old, and I have two wonderful boy's. I had to have a Hysterectomy 7 years ago due to the fact of having a utrus full of fibroid tumor's.As of for the other parts in my life as of intercourse, I still have it. But the moods and swings are still here. Everyone know in my house when I go off they all better run in all different directions. My husband after 22 years of marriage know that..Need to talk please feel free and pm me.

Hi Maryanne, welcome to the group! I'm glad you joined our little family here.

Did you go through menopause after your surgery? I had a hysterectomy in 2005, with many complications!!! I'm currently going through menopause! I'm a little moody now and then! How do you handle your emotions? Do you have pain now? I still have alot of pelvic pain! My muscles are all messed up!!!

If there is anything I can do, please let me know. Take care.

Your Friend, Chris

I have handled my mood swings by walking out and taking a breather. I get alot of hot and cold flashes, at night but that is so normal that it comes with the hysterectomy. I do have some pain but I do believe that it has to do with alot of scare tissue. My first child was 6 lbs. and my second son was 11 lbs. so I do have pain once in a while....
