MDJunction to me

jenniferdiva"MDJunction has been just an amazing support for me. The people who are on mdj are so nice! Unlike the many other support sites that I have been on. I have made several friends on mdj who are so supportive and so educated about mental illness. Of course non of us are doctors, but we certainly offer each other hugs, opinions, and advice. I have learned a great deal from my friends on mdjunction. I am also encouraging other people who suffer from mental illness to come on to MDJ. It can be a life line." (jenniferdiva)

Ok...I know this may seem like a silly question...but, which swelly belly band do I need? I mean, I didn't know there were two different kinds? LOL! Do I chose vertical or horizontal? What does that mean? LOL! I'm having a moment I think. Laughing

Okay, so most ladies need a horizontal one. This means it sits across a standard incision scar which goes horizontally across your tummy. If you having keyhole surgery or a vaginal hysterectomy, then a horizontal one is still the best because it will support your tummy afterwards and give you a lift. A bit like an underwired bra!

You only need a vertical one if you have had a cut that goes up your tummy. This is very rare and usually not scheduled, so would only happen in the case of an emergency. Unless you have been told you are definitely going to have a vertical incision, then it is probably not worth buying the vertical band, just get a horizontal one.

The swelly belly works in two significant ways. Firstly, it is cold and offers relief from hot or sore wounds, the coolness is also fab if you are in surgical menopause, it gives great relief from the flushes and sweats. Secondly, the horizontal one sits at your pubic line, which is low down, so it offers a support for your sore and swollen tum. All in all it is a great product.

I should get paid commission! LOL.
