I get both those symptoms my hands are from carpel tunnel but I do get the burning tingling sensation in the feet when my levels are not right, that is not to say these symptoms are strictly thyroid as diabetes can also have these type of symptoms.

Dawn I think I read in your profile that you are from Australia,so I was wondering if you are a member of The Australian Thyroid foundation, they are worthwhile being involved in as they have lots of up to date information about Thyroid disease and can also tell you where your local support group is located, sometimes it is good to have face to face contact with other people,,even though MD Junction and the people here are great, anyway just thought I would ask, hope you are starting to feel a little better.

Dawn I'm really not sure if its the Thyroid condition but I get it too so it probably has something to do with it.

I'm going to try salmon oil and ground flax seed for my cholesterol. My sister-in-law just told me that it brought her cholesterol down dramaticly, shocked the Dr. I'm on Lipitor at the present but it would be great if I could drop that.

Hope it works well for you. I just bought the salmon oil to start with. The drugist thought maybe I should try one at a time. They have Flax(omega 3) tablets too so thats what I plan to try instead of ground flax seed.

Have a great weekend.

Dawn, I swear you have symptoms of Fibro. Fibro can cause the feelings you are experiencing as well. I have Hashis, but I know the tingling I get is from the Fibro, It is just one of the symptoms...

I know the pain you also suffer from talking to you so much. You and I share a lot in common. Thyroid disease often overlaps others, which can make it very hard to be diagnosed correctly. You just have to be persistent and rule out all the other possibilities.

Once you are stable on your Thyroid Meds, and tingling and pain persists, consider other possible conditions.

PM me so we can continue to talk.

Many Huggies and warm fuzzy snuggles,

Elizabeth

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

I am just like you and I am on MDJ for support and true friendship. Please, always consult with your doctor about medical advice and medication, never take one's opinion regarding your most precious asset which is your life.

Dawn, I agree with Elizabeth as I too have both conditions. It's worth looking into. You have to be proactive, Lord knows the medical community won't be. Let us know what you think.
