Hi KMoore. Welcome to our group. Don't get so discuraged so fast. It will take a little time for your med to take afect. If you take levothyoxien a subsituted for synthroid, It will take a little time. If you are over weight, Watch what you eat and exercise.I use to weigh over 250lbs. I now weigh 138lbs. So you see time can tell. Don't worry. I know it SUCK'S BIG TIME.... But don't woory every thing will be alright.

Hi KMoore, I have been taking Levothyroxine for 10 months. I still find I am very tired at times but some of my other problems have improved alot. Give it a little time, they usually check your TSH often at first till they get you on the proper dose.

I was checked at 3 months at first. My GP was happy with my TSH level so now I'm checked at 6 months.

K,

Welcome to the group. We are a lovely group of people who are all in the same boat. Its a small but cozy forum and we hope you'll stick around and enjoy the information and the friendship you will find here.

I don't know why you are still so tired. Maybe you haven't had the med in your system long enough to feel any changes. Is there anything else that could be making you feel so tired like depression or another med?

I hope you start to feel better soon. No one deserves to have their life messed up by any illness. You deserve to feel good.

Again welcome to the group. Keep asking questions and be patient when waiting for answers. Some of our folks only come ocassionally.
