+ weight loss

I know there aren't many success stories of weight loss with hypothyroidism, but I wanted to start a thread for those that had some success, even if it's minor like 5 lbs. Also how did any of you start to lose, and after how long after starting meds.

So far last year I had a baby, lost 25lbs after two weeks, a few months later gained 30 lbs in about a month, a few months later lost about 20-25ish, then GAINED IT ALL BACK! My meds changed 3 times since July last year, i'm now trying really hard not to gain. Losing will be awesome but this is the heaviest I've ever been and it's sooooo depressing.,

I have lost 9.5 lbs in the last two weeks! So it is possible, hopefully I can keep losing and keep it off this time.

Thank you pineapple. Do you have your weight stabilized? My main concern is that I will gain everything back and then some in a month or two

I'm sorry Mal. I know, how difficult it is to get control of the weight. I read a lot in here about how my friends here are suffering from weight issues. I also saw Oprah Whinfrey on tv and how she's fighting for it.

I have both hypothyroid and hypoadrenal. Hypoadrenal coz us to lose weight. If I put on some weight, it will easily go down within a week or two. My endo told me hypothyroid can make me gain weight but the hypoadrenal will make me lose weight, so it balance out. They were concerned about this too, but it's been 9, 10 years now, they never talk about weight with me.

O wow. I didn't know that. You are kind of lucky to have balance. My weight has always been crazy. When I was a teen I lost easily. Now I gain easily.

Adrian: 3 is great. To most ppl it's not that much but to us it's awesome. Are you on a diet and or exercise?

I walk/jog 45-60 mins a day, zumba 20-30 mins 3 times a week and light weight lifting every other day. I'm now down 11.5 lbs. Thank god!
