Scott,

Have you discussed your feelings and being so tired with your doctor ?

Also, are you taking the proper dosages and meds for Hypo ?

Hi Scott and welcome to the group.

I feel the same way you do as far as my energy is concerned. I have kind of just accepted it as part of the illness. I will be curious to see if anyone else has input here. I feel lack of motivation anyway so the two probably go together for me.

Scott, Welcome aboard. I am new here too and also looking for some answers. One thing I've learned about the my energy level is the more I do the better I feel and subsequently sleep better, which in turn gives me more energy. This of course is way easier said than always done. So many days I just want to lay my head on my desk and go to sleep. I'm feeling pretty good about myself at the moment, cause I just finished my workout.

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I have not been diagnosed with hypothyroid. All of the symptoms are there. I just made an appointment for next week to discuss hypothyroid with another DR. In my experience Dr's will write a prescription and I am trying to get enough information so I can offer some input. Otherwise i may just ask for a referral to an endocrinologist or someone a little more knowledgable than a reg MD.

Marilyn. Yes im taking the proper dosage of levothyroxine. I take 100mcg. I just started a exercise program that seems to be helping me energy level. Maybe this is the ticket.

Hi Scott

Good for you taking Levrothyroxine and I hope it works for you.

I m actually looking forward to seeing my PCP in April as I think my dosage needs to be upped again. I m still at 75mg per day and still tired.

I hope you re having a good weekend ~~~ it s been in the high 40s and windy here today so a lot of our snow has melted but ooooh, what a muddy mess that is making in driveways etc. YUCK !!!

Thanks marilyn. I was onece on 150 MCG. I felt gerrrrrrreat like tony the tiger lol. My doc had to put me on such a high dosage because my thyroid gland grew to the size of a base ball. It was soooo painfal.
